Mommy's note
The following pieces were done today in the car after gymnastics class. I drew rough sketches of what she wanted to draw, and then she created her own work by looking at those sketches. Her drawings are much different than mine! Also, I wanted to note that all of these drawings are small. I can cover each of them with my thumb print.
a parachutist
This was inspired by gymnastics. Today we played with a parachute. I asked Mommy how to draw a parachute. She drew a quick sketch of what a parachute looks like when used for jumping and a sketch of a 'chute laying on the ground open (just like at gymnastics!). I thought the jumping-out-of-planes version was more interesting, so I drew a picture of myself jumping!

Fun with Sharpies
First, the lion. Mommy drew the outline and I colored it in. Notice the green mane and the SCARY red eyes. Grrrrrrrr!
Next, and printout of a photo from the Safari Park. I am feeding my favorite animal, a giraffe. Coloring in photos is always fun.

good tracer
Notice how M used one color near the outlines, then colored in the body. She adapted this from watching E do the "Rock Star" drawing and sea horse coloring.
The original drawing is from a coloring book produced by FCHS art students in the 80's or 90's. Mommy was too afraid to color in it, so now her kids get to.
